I often ask Allah (God) Why was I and my family moved to Detroit from Buffalo, New York. In Detroit, I learned what a beat-down was and what unfair fighting is....One on One or mano y mano I could kick some @$$ despite size difference or the initial Fear....I hate bullies and cowards and I have often come to the aid of one who was outnumbered or being threatened - white, black or otherwise. Most turned out well and others, well, lets just say I know what healing up is....I have always been a Peacekeeper....But, I can only imagine that if I witnessed and began to record an incident of police brutality, more than likely I would give my phone or video-camera to someone else and jump in officer friendlys grill and get prepared for the beat-down...God-willing that wont be the case....I take great care to avoid or not place myself, spouse, family member or aquaintenances in circumstances or environments that facilitate conflict. I have since learned the answer to my questioning of God or I believe I have. Although I have not had a direct physical confrontation in about 27 years, other than an incident at Belle Isle 4 or 5 years ago; and We quickly made an example of some out of control Youth, I am being prepared to fight Police, maybe not today or in the near future; In fact, I no longer know How to Fight, what I have learned over the past 25 years off and on has been Self - Defense or conflict resolution...But, based on my conversations with officers and former military who have since joined various police forces, [this] is a Reality...And no, I do not anticipate a Self-fulfilling Prophecy, it is simply the nature of things in America.... And on that note, I will close this brief statement and appeal, the Powers that be and their imps have a great Fear of something We or You can accomplish and begin to work on immediately - Morality and Unity!
