I often feel my mission in this life is to help people find their voice and use it to improve the world around them. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of working with about 16 different writers all over Orange County, ages 9-45. Thirteen of them were girls under the age of 15. Their bravery and passion was something I dont recall having at that age. It occurred to me that the teenage me would never have signed up for one of my classes. If by chance I had, I am not sure I would have had the guts to share any of my ideas aloud, in front of total strangers. My admiration for these writers grows exponentially, every day. The day before yesterday, four of my dearest friends took time and energy to encourage me on my path to finding and using my voice in a whole new way. Their advice was excellent and I am doing my best to apply it. I still have a lot of work to do, but I have learned that being on both ends of love and compassion is one of the most whole and complete feelings of fulfillment I have ever experienced. I cant recommend it enough. Now go out and love on someone.
