I often tend to think of life as a series of shelves at times. Looking at it from the right perspective may open your eyes a little! If your on the middle shelf, your the one that tends to get used the most by the convenience of others. You put yourself at eye level, which isnt bad...but your within sight of many you may not know, and inadvertently attract attention and that also makes you easily accessible. However ; if your on the bottom shelf, you may find yourself at the advantage of being left alone for long periods of time so that you may rest. Therefor, used less. As you may tend to be less willing to help others without a gain or inconvenience of them having to bend over for you. You dont require attention, but you do feel the need to still be something of value. If your on the top shelf, then good for you. You may even be proud and/or arrogant. For this is the shelf in which trophies stand, except now your on display, whether placed there by yourself or someone else...it makes no difference. You crave attention, you thrive on it and may even need constant maintenance. Just keep in mind that even trophies get spit on before being shinned, and for that you envy those on the shelves. Even though they look up to you for inspiration rather than who arranged them. Which shelf your on doesnt matter...They all have theyre flaws. What matters is; What shelf do you want to be on, despite where you currently are? ~David A. Gray~
