I often think about the difference between perception and reality. It is my contention that while their certainly is an objective reality all we can ever experience is our subjective observation of it. The world is and we are just trying to make sense of something that may have no real meaning. New relationships are usually about two people trying to wrap one another in fantasy. We try to be objective but its all about our subjective interpretation of the data at hand. Frequently we start a relationship seeing and exaggerating the other persons qualities and downplaying his deficits. .
