I often think of Grandpa as my Indiana Jones. The Greatest Hero of All Time. Partly because I think Harrison Ford looks a lot like him (very handsome), but mostly because Grandpa had skills. He could do it all. Build a house, grow incredible gardens (with the best green grapes ever), blaze a trail, point out all sorts of plants, trees, flowers and birds, be a tease, come up with goofy nicknames, smile the biggest, warm and welcoming smile, hold a tiny little girls hand with his strong, callused, rugged, hard working hands and take her on walks, build tree forts and little barns and teach one how to love, how to be grateful and to give, to everyone. Hero. It is so nice to see the memories others are posting. To remember this once in a lifetime kind of man that we all were so fortunate in knowing. May his legacy live on and may we all strive to give, to love and to live as sweetly as he did. Love you dearly Grandpa
