I once got hit by an Okada rider at Amusement Park junction,Ibadan on a trip home,The guy was running away from Police illegal check point to avoid paying N20 just for passing by...The guys head broke one of my vehicle side windshield,after parking my car to see the damage, that guy was profusely bleeding so hard,the policemen were hitting him on the floor in that condition,they insisted that I leave him and his passenger in that condition,but I refused,I told my entourage to pick them up,to let us rush them to any nearby hospital for treatment,while were trying to save the guys life, meanwhile he was shouting for the safety of his higher purchased Bike... We went to almost (4) different clinics around Agbowo-UI area,Major Salau street, all around the vicinity,most hospitals rejected this Okada guys in that condition,my friends and I started getting scared because my whole car was so full of blood stains... Finally one hospital at the back of Agbowo shopping complex decided to take them in,but on the condition that we Deposit N25,000 or else No Show...I coughed out the money before I left in anger .... But why are we not SENSITIVE to human Life in Nigeria,looking at the Picture of that pregnant woman that died simply because of the inability of her family to deposit N300,000 for her C-section is the worst kind of News TODAY.. It demoralised me entirely today... I felt uncomfortable throughout the whole Day..That Okada man may have died too under my watch,if I left him in that accident spot or refused to pay that money..The cops unwilling to do nothing,hospitals staffs and medical practionals rejecting them as if they were animals,I was surprised when the Last doctor that eventually took them in personally demanded for N25,000 deposit before stopping the bleeding of the (2) victims.... No wonder things arent Working for us in Nigeria.... Oga ooo.... Many have died like that because of nonchalant attitude of many Hospitals....Florence Nightingale will be hissing from grave...
