I once got written up for a ticket by a New York City subway cop - TopicsExpress

I once got written up for a ticket by a New York City subway cop for singing off key. And in Sweden once I got hauled off in the middle of busking by a couple of plain clothes cops who took me to the police station to check me out & make sure I hadnt overstayed my visa. I thought they were standing there waiting for me to finish what I was singing so they could ask me if I knew Streets of London or some Bob Dylan. In Copenhagen, another time, I was sitting, looking down, playing a battery-powered keyboard on my lap out on Strøget, when suddenly 2 pair of black shiny cop shoes appeared just in front of my own feet. The owners of these shoes told me it wasnt permitted to play for money. So I closed my box for about as long as it took them to walk 100 feet. I had my share of hassles. But I really feel for this guy Andrew Kalleen and the way he was roughed up by the NYC subway cops even after one of the cops read the law *out loud* that permitted him to sing there. thefreethoughtproject/nypd-assault-arrest-subway-musician-reading-broke-law/#hxR2bMGTmIdHbT7u.99
