I once read somewhere that the word UP probably has more meanings that any two letter word...........Why does a topic come Up, why do we wake up, and then get up, take some eggs and fry them up, get our fingernails trimmed up, for deaf people we speak up, in fact some people are messed up, why are politicians up for election, and we clean up the situation, and then write up a report, when it should be up to the secretary to do that, when we leave we lock up the house after we have eaten the warmed up leftovers, we line up for tickets, go to a funeral after we are dressed up, turn on the lights to brighten up a room, go surfing when the surf is up, if the car doesnt run we fix it up, when it is going to rain it is clouding up, and then it rains so the plants dont dry up, after a rain the sky clears up, we clean up the house when company is coming, troublemakers stir up trouble, Policemen pick them up and take them to jail, because they used up their freedom, as teens get older their acne clears up, we stay up to watch the news, and read up on various things in the newspaper, students study up for tests, airplanes go up to fly, prices go up due to inflation, a flat tire gets pumped up, teams are fired up to play a game that leads up to a championship, the winner holds up the trophy, a rich girl is stuck up, when we are tired how do we manage to hold up for all day, if your pants tear you sew them up, you cut up paper dolls, you put up hay and beans, take fragile things an put them up so little kids cant break them................but I digress, so now I will take a break and drink a Seven Up and then rest up.
