I once wrote about this very claim of a trip to Heaven. I called it BALONEY...simply based on Biblical doctrine and truth. Discernment is KEY for the Church today...yet so few seem to even DESIRE to DISCERN properly. This now discounted story of a trip to Heaven became all the rage in churches and on Christian TV...as almost every major ministry...and many long-time friends here on FB...marveled at the story...exalting it to an almost HOLY status. My question is one that MUST ne asked: Where was DISCERNMENT in the Church...and why does the Church almost DESPISE true discernment?!? Folks...there are WOLVES now standing in PULPITS of some of the largest churches and ministries in America. If the highly exalted FALSE TEACHERS write a new book...the GOATS clamor to get...expending even MORE energy to SING THE PRAISES of their chosen WOLVES. Where was DISCERNMENT when these books became all the rage: The Purpose Driven Church by Rick Warren The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren Good Morning, Holy Spirit by Benny Hinn (and all other Hinn books) Your Best Life Now by Joel Osteen (and Osteens other best sellers) The Amos Paradigm: Life at the Speed of Favor by Tim Hill Change Your Words, Change Your Life by Joyce Meyer (and all other Meyer books) Prosperity: The Choice is Yours by Kenneth Copeland (and all other Copeland books) Heaven: Close Encounters of the God Kind by Jesse Duplantis (and all other Duplantis books) Golden Keys for Receiving Your Perpetual Harvest by Rod Parsley (and all other Parsley books) Unmerited Favor by Joseph Prince (and all other Prince books) The Meal that Heals by Perry Stone (and several other Stone books) Yes...we MUST ask why leaders in churches everywhere FAILED to DISCERN the TRUTH...as they most often PROMOTED books and stories steeped in FALSE TEACHING and FABLES. We MUST seek the Lord in His WORD again...and...we MUST stop exalting FOOLISH NONSENSE.
