I only desire to help you. You are not an expert, neither - TopicsExpress

I only desire to help you. You are not an expert, neither should you be preaching to others about weight loss, if you have lost weight in recent times. Dont preach until you have gone a significant amount of time keeping the weight off. Then you can lecture others. Now, on to my point. I have felt for a long time now to encourage others to walk and exercise. I have paid the price in this area, therefore I can preach to others on this subject. Walking will change your life. It will lift depression. It will help with weight loss. It will improve your health. It will give you time to think and pray and listen to sermons or songs or a good talk radio show. It will also keep you off the phone. Much trouble is caused by folks with little to do but chat on the phone or stay online. I exercise 3 times a day, even with health troubles. My spirit man now craves to get out and walk. It brings me joy. I encourage you to find a football field and walk the track. Also, as you walk, lift light weights, doing curls. Start off with 3 pounds each hand. Walk and curl those hand weights. Make sure you have an mp3 player to record your favorite things. I recommend Jack Hyles sermons, because there are many online. I listen to Rush Limbaugh and Micheal Savage. But I listen to other preachers, especially holiness preachers. For a while there I was averaging 2 sermons a day. I listen to talk radio, sermons and lectures and some music. Very little music. Also, as your health permits, walk the steps, up and down. You will get to a place where you will become euphoric about walking. Make this part of your life. Dont get up and watch TV. Dont get up and plant yourself in front of the computer. Dont make calls. Eat a bite and then go walking. If you can get someone to walk with you, that is extra fun. But dont let talking distract you. Remember, if you can talk casually while walking, you are going to slow. If you cant sing, you are going to fast. 6 months of this will change you. Now, concerning food. Sweets is your enemy. 6 months ago I eliminated sweets from my diet. Sure, from time to time I will enjoy donuts, or a candy bar. But for the most part, I have no sweets. That is what makes you fat. I eat all the fish and meat I want. At one point I was eating 3 cheeseburgers a day, and several eggs with bread. And for snacks I had fruit and orange juice, etc. But sweets is the big deal. I have proven it cane be done. I love sweets. Crave them. But, now they have become extra special because I tell me when to have sweets. My appetite for sweets is no longer in charge. I am. But, at least start walking. Going twice a day will change your life. Be careful and stay safe. I have already been hit by one car. lol. And crossing roads is dangerous. But I am really trying here to help folks with depression. Mobility, movement, time spent away from the house, a change in environment, walking, can help you and change your health. The enemy to your soul and body is sitting around. Find something to do. Walking is that something to do. Become to consumed with this that folks will wonder where you are. Why arent you calling they wonderful. I had an aunt, whom I loved, who kept sitting around on the phone until she died. She was over 400 pounds. Her entire day was spent on the phone and laying around. Your life will never change until you effect and affect change. If I did this, you can do this. Start moving. It is time to change things. You are stuck in a rut. Nothing will change for you until you make it happen. Start off by walking. OUTSIDE. Get that fresh air. I love it.
