I only got a few shots in but wanted to share them. Dennis & Carol (aka Spike and Red) celebrated the most beautiful 50th Wedding anniversary with lots of family and friends this afternoon... close to 200 people. With Disneyland the theme, Denny and Carol donned their Disney wear, Carol with Minnie Mouse ears and a veil..Denny in his Mickey shirt, and the place was decorated with art work. Why you ask, Denny & Carols first date was At Disneyland, Honeymoon was there, and they have favored it every year for 50 years. and photos of them and silhouettes of all their children and grandchildren and great grandchildren on the walls. I was honored to have been invited and wanted to share so of the great things their kids did for them.. The dinner was catered by Stone fire Grill and was fabulous, Cake by Skiffs Cakes-New (Simi Valley) Chocolate with chocolate Bavarian cream (didnt try it but everyone said it was the best), chocolate with banana cream filling (ah yes da best!!!) and chocolate with Raspberry (amazing), there was a huge candy table, and flower centerpieces by Conroys (who did a beautiful rose collage for each table added with a candy sucker and balloons, that were sent home with the oldest married couple at each table. Several letters and certificates were given to them from City hall (the mayor and councilmen), County Supervisor Peter Foy, State Senator Dianne Feinstein, and a secret letter from Salt Lake City (dont know from who yet), Denny & Carol have most certainly have prospered , as we met their ever growing family, and the announcement was made his youngest daughter Diane is engaged to be married to another Dennis, who is a wonderful man! This also comes with much humor, Dennis and Carol (whose formal name is Diane) will soon have a new Dennis and Diane in the family too. All was a happy occasions, that choked the best of us up in tears as Denny gave a sweet rendition of his life with his bride, and his family and friends.. much Love today. (pardon some of my photos, I tend to shake, and they get blurry, but thank goodness Im not the photographer... enjoy, I only caught some of it, I was busy having fun.
