I ordered some styrofoam cakes but they arrived tiny (booooo) so I am practicing stencilling on them(yayyy). I had a fear of stencils and RI. Literally I would always try avoid if possible. So it was time to have a go :) It is far from perfect but at least you can see there is a pattern on there and I am really pleased with it :) i had to go on google and YouTube and found this video by Cakes by Raewyn very helpful. Raewyn shows you the consistency of the RI which helped lots, also how to make a color around your cake so your stencil stays flush around it. You dont need spare hands to help you. This works perfectly! Also what thickness the RI has to be after applying it.
