I overheard my co-worker talking to my manager today at work during a smoke break. He was telling him about his experience in the military, the guns, convoys, people killed and so on. I am grateful for those that volunteer for service as I am equally grateful for the militarys weeding out process. My co-worker talked about throwing cans filled with urine to kids clamoring for food and laughing as they drank the can and then threw up. The next story was about using pellet guns to shoot at the children. After it was done he claimed he wished he could go back because it was fun. His disability pulled him out of the armed forces. I find it horrific to discuss battle, death, killing a person with such glee. What are your thoughts on this topic? I know not all persons in the military are like this however the thoughts on such discussion at work as well as the topics themselves lend to intellectual debate. Anyone?
