I owe an apology to my friends and family who I stubbornly closed minded defended the un- affordable health care program. When the insurance company doubled the rates my boss had to drop company health insurance. I was given the option to go on the program. My options at my pay after they paid 202 were weather I paid 78 to 313 for ten available programs, the cost only made a difference in weather it was an HMO or a PPC. In EVERY case the yearly deductable to be met was 6000.00 before they would kick in. The option to take a job at less pay so I could get no deductible is not a path Im willing to take. Fortunately I am a vet and applied for vet medical as 6000 a year is unrealistic at my pay. I was told in 2001 that I had crohnes disease so my big scare was if I switched jobs the insurance companies would dictate weather I could get hired. That had to change. Interestingly enough this year a gastrologist told me theres no way I could have crohns and he thinks I was misdiagnosed, being I havent had another episode since and the shape Im in now. What a miracle. So once again I apologize. I understand now.
