I owe this page and all of you some words. I have planned and postponed the Bridge of Fire many times. I mean the large scale project at Burning Man. Still, I have burned nine bridges both at Burning Man and in other places and will continue to burn all my bridges until the day I die. In fact, I hope someone will burn one for me after I am gone. So what is my plan now. Yes, I still want to do the project on the Playa, but a large scale project can cost tens of thousands of dollars and it would take an incredible amount of effort and support from this and many other communities to make it happen. So, it is on hold. The reasons are not only the money, but also the fact that for these last six years, I have not attended to many things in my life….., my home, my finances, and other things that have now become challenges. I must take care of those things, myself, and my partner. And so this year, that is what I am doing. Also, I have realized that is is time to start work on another project that came to me at the very beginning of this journey and that is to plan and build a memorial to all the people who have died by jumping from the Bridge. This will also be a great challenge and I will call on this group for support and ideas. When Donovan was born, it changed my life forever and his life and death continues to drive me and make me a better human being. I thank all of you for continuing on this path with me over the Bridge of Fire. I wish I could hug you all on this Fathers Day.
