I participated in the ALS Ice Bucket challenge today. ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrigs Disease, is a terrible disease that we have an opportunity to treat and/or cure, but we need to do more in terms of research and awareness. Not only did I dump a cold bucket of ice water on my head, but I also made a donation to the ALS Association today. I challenged four very close people to me in my life as well as one surprise. I challenged Christopher Hearsey, my best friend and one of my strongest confidantes. Paul Kelley, my best friend throughout law school and beyond. Kyle Kekic, one of my longest friends and college roommate. Justin Workman, one of my favorite cousins and people in this world. And finally, I challenged my general election opponent, Representative Michele Brooks. With your help, we can conquer debilitating diseases like ALS.
