I perform mastering for many artists who are recording and even mixing their music. Pro-tip: make sure to use a high-pass filter on all your vocal tracks, always. You may not be able to hear the plosives / background rumble / low-frequency debris in your voice tracks, but I sure can over my monitoring system, especially when mastering takes ahold of the music. Instantiate a high-pass filter to kill everything under 70-80 Hz on the vocal tracks and theyll mix more cleanly.
