I personally dont believe in nationalism. We kill in the name of nationalism. In my opinion its another mind controlling device like religion. It could be that I am wrong, maybe nationalism is necessary in order to protect a nations economics, culture and traditions. But the irony that I observe in our nation has left me in awe! We are copying the worst of America and raising our voice for nationalism. We like to go to McDonalds, KFC, TGIF. Buy our grocery from Walmart. Having coffee at starbucks. And more over sending a probe on to mars! Overlooking the fact that India is one of the highest ranking countries in terms of women and children malnutrition. 270 million out of 1.260 million total poor population of the world lives in India. We drink pepsi, coca cola instead of good old sugar cane juice (As we think the drinks on the street is not hygienic in India). We drive western cars on Indian road in a barbaric fashion! And surprisingly most of the so called good Indian Citizens who are proud of Indias Mars mission are working for an American corporate or living in America! Come on brothers and sisters remove the veil of denial. Stop imitating American nationalism in Indian context!
