I pledge to help women in the developing world by supporting the following organizations: Women for Women gives female survivors of war the tools and resources to move out of poverty and become self-sufficient. CARE’s community-based efforts work to improve women’s access to education, health services, clear water and sanitation, and economic opportunities. Since 1982, the Global Fund for Women has advanced women’s rights by funding more than 4,200 organizations in more than 172 countries. Inspired by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn’s book of the same name, the Half the Sky Movement is working to end the oppression of women and girls by raising awareness through print, film and social media.
