I post periodically about how governmental policies effect the populace, and how the typical platforms of political parties work on the populace. Of the 10 richest, 9 are in blue states - the 10, Alaska, receives a large boost because of the arrangement that gives each resident a share of the states oil reserves. Of the 10 poorest, 9 are in red states - including the 2 of the top 3 in Texas, which is billing itself in as one of the best places to do business. The same area that has the 8th poorest county also has the second richest - and is a blue state. If the policies of low regulations on businesses, low social support networks, and low minimum wages are so good for growth for businesses and opportunities for people, why are the states that follow those policies usually among the poorest, while those opposed are the richest? Or does the standard GOP platform sound good but work against the majority?
