I posted a commentary earlier on my personal Facebook page about the enthusiasm in fundraising for places like Japan and the Philippines after major disasters , but the apparent lack of any kind of help for our ohana on the Big Island after Hurricane Iselle. After posting this I realized that I was no better than arm chair quarterbacks making commentary behind their computer screens on social media. Because of this Maui Fresh Streatery will be temporarily suspending our fundraising efforts for A Keikis a Dream Foundation, in order to help with recovery efforts on the Big Island. All tip jar donations for the next few weeks will be donated to assist in the long term recovery of areas affected by Hurricane Iselle. Mahalo for your continued support and understanding.
