WHAT IS A SIGN? Simply put, a sign is an object that can be perceived by at least one of your five senses that has a unique, direct, one-on-one relationship with the thing it represents. Below is an example of a sign. It has a unique, direct relationship with the message it represents - no smoking. It is important to understand the distinction between signs and symbols to understand the kingdom of God to a greater degree.
