I posted a status a while back about the difference between complacency and contentment. I recently started thinking about again and wanted to expound upon that idea. When I was in the Army complacency would get you killed. If for one second you lowered your standards and let something slide, you wouldnt make it home. Its not so much that way in the civilian sector. It seems to me everyone is complacent. They accepted jobs they dont want for less pay than they deserve. They live off government assistance paid for by others who work hard to provide for their families. They work as little as possible to still survive. This somewhat bothers me. Ive never been that way. Even now I work regular jobs and give my best effort. Im building my own business from home to provide a better life for me and my family. I want more from my life than just to survive. Im very contented with what I have. Ive been in places in the world where people literally have nothing and what little they do have can be ripped away from them in an instant. Just some thoughts that were going through my mind today. I dont really expect anyone to really understand my train of thought on this one, just thought I would share it with all my lovely facebook friends! Have a happy Thursday! Hope you al crush it today.
