I posted something on future economics, as we enter the world of intelligent machines... what do the people do for a living? Well, heres what I said... opinions welcome: ....... I believe the employees, in America and the advanced world, need to be awarded STOCK along with their pay. Profit sharing is the true path to a future where dividends yield middle class income, while a robot you might own a part of does gainful work. Theoretically... the robots become the slaves... and humans become the upper and middle classes, like it was in Rome. The slums are no more. Stock is handed down (inherited), so within 3 generations, IMO, that family can exist on a reasonable dividend yield of about 8%, plus other holdings. Handing down life insurance also helps the offspring get into a position to invest. Laws would exist, that the equity cannot be touched...even by creditors, because its like a retirement account. I know that is not currently realistic... but if employers must issue shares of stock... it would become the norm... just in time before robots are more advanced. Humans become the leisure and pursuit of science/art class. There will be business owners, and investors... but nobody has to be poor... because all basic life needs are automatically covered for all humans, by their machines and automatons.
