Of all the F-111s that were retired, scrapped or put on display this one should have been at the top of the list for a display. Only two triple ones were built 67-0111 and 68-0111. 67-0111 reached her fate on June 16, 1973 after a mid air with 67-0094 in South East Asia. Such a sad end to a great aircraft and as a former Crew Chief of them for many years they will always hold a special place with me.
