I posted this a week or so back and some of you missed it. I feel it is important and wanted to re-post. ************************************************************** With only 4 shopping days left, I am compelled to write a Thank You note to you, my supporters. When I first met Annie I never imagined it would be such a life altering change, such a healing thing. I was almost as low as I could get and this women asked me to fill in a survey for a business plan she had. The rest, shall we say, was herstory. I didnt hesitate, then months later when she and her husband had decided to move back west and they asked me if I wanted to purchase the shoppe from them. I needed something, something I had 100% control of in my topsy turvey life. I jumped in both feet and engaged my kids to help, I built my clientele and made the shoppe my own. High school students came in to work for their volunteer hours, DArt and Matt were hard workers and loved the interaction with the people there. Justina, Sara, Sam, Tracey, Lennon, Casey and Cynthia all spent some time with me when I needed a little extra help. And the shoppe grew. At one time I had over 1000 names in my files, I have since wittled down that number because the file cabinet could no longer hold that many file. People have come and gone, moved on with things some I am sad to say have passed on. But we were still moving along and growing. I am sad that the shoppe went unsold and I hope no one feels I am letting them down. I need my family. My Dad is 86 and I am number 5 of 6 children and I miss my brothers and sister. I missed watching my nieces and nephews grow up and now they are having families of their own and I want to be there. I have been in Thunder Bay since 1987, now that my children have grown and will be finished high school this spring, it is time to return to my roots. If you have the time to come by and say farewell, it would mean a lot. Although I will be in the shoppe into December to settle accounts, the last day for sales will be November 27th. As my heart grows with gratitude for what the shoppe has given to me, it also grows with excitement for my next big adventure. Thank you.
