I posted this in Point Place Block Watch but reposing here since I am administrator of this page. I want everyone to be vigilant and call 911 if you hear or see anything, It does help. . . Very Strange incident just happened at 4 AM. I was awaken by a cat screeching outside. (I have no cat.) I then heard water running but there was no water on in my house. Not cold enough for a pipe to burst. I got dressed and went outside, cautiously. Someone had turned on my water faucet outside. No real damage done but could have been worse, if I had not found it right away. I did call 911. I just wanted to report it in case their were suspicious individuals in the neighborhood. I have heard of cars and houses being egged, etc. I live off of Summit St, near J-Cups Pizza. The dispatcher was very nice and said she would let the patrol car know. I told her I was safe and they did not have to check on me, just the area. Not 10 mins. later, an officer was at my front door, checking on me. I still had my lights on, as I was not able to go right back to sleep. He said he checked around the house and no around but would keep an eye out. I know this is not a big emergency, esp with the near by townhouse fire tonight (God Bless that family) and other things happening. Have always been told to report incidents, so I did. I was amazed how quickly they responded. Moral of this: Call 911 and report if you see or hear anything. They police cannot do anything, if they do not know and they do respond. If there is a more important emergency, it may not be right away but at least it was reported. Be Safe Friends!
