(I posted this in the other group... but just in case there are people here who arent there....) :-) Ive been lurking, but should intro myself (this will be my longest post, trust me LOL)... I live up in Kelso, WA, but lived in Oregon for ten years before slipping back over the border a few years ago. (I may be returning -- my husband is applying for several jobs in the Portland area... cross your fingers!!) Im about to release my second book that is set on the Oregon Coast. FINDING MALLORY is a romance with an emphasis on independence, family, and many, many trips to the cheese factory for ice cream. SIX DATES WITH JENNA is an upper-YA set in the area near ZigZag, Oregon. A romance develops during a devastating flood between local girl Jenna and stranded mega-teen-star Logan. Separated for years by his demanding film career, maintaining their secret relationship on the phone, through email and Skype, they still somehow manage to meet six times and create a life together despite all odds. My first book set on the Oregon Coast, STOLEN SPRING, stars Elliot Lake, my wonderful Asian-American protag. A reluctant reporter for the local weekly paper who lives in a crappy trailer on the beach with his Labrador Bruce (named after Bruce Campbell, of course) keeps finding himself in the middle of kidnappings and murders when he isnt avoiding his parents, his crazy ex, and drinking way, way too much coffee. DROWNING SUMMER is the sequel and will be out later this year. I also have a middle-grade adventure set in Seattle: THE MISFORTUNE OF THE EMERALD THIEF stars siblings Denim the Bubble Ranger and Ravenna the Time Bender, who discover their family not only possess magical powers, but they have a very specific purpose for their powers.... a glittery green energy source the people of the Pacific Northwest know nothing about but rely on every day. You can check out my website where I have more info on all of my books. Thanks so much for letting me join this group -- I think its important to hook up with local authors, so this is a great first step for me. CynthiaLMoyer
