I posted this on another status...but there are a lot of people I think need to hear it...and they may not read the whole thread. It is hard for me because I am part of PTO..but I am a mom first. That puts us in a bind...we have people looking at us from both angles expecting us to know it all and to have the answers. We are as lost as you are and have to make the same decisions. Here is my response to an early post : Also, I am not saying my kids are going to Turkey Run. I will say we are looking at all of our options. I hope everyone does. I have to make the best decision for my kids. I have never once said New Market is a bad school. There are great things about New Market. I taught at New Market. I have friends on my fb that are teachers from NM. They are great teachers. However, I do know that New Market atmosphere and Waveland are totally different. I am able to say that because I have been both places. Is Turkey Run perfect, no. Is the atmosphere like Waveland? Yes, from what I have seen and what I have heard...yes. My niece loves it there. Which says a lot to me. Steve and I have to make one of the hardest decisions we have had to make...but we want to make sure we are making it with the information needed to make it with. Our kids are our everything. I want them to be happy and get the best opportunities they can get. So that is my story...and i am sticking to it.
