I posted this on my home page, but Im posting it here too, because without SGLRG, I wouldnt be running as much as I am, or having as much fun as I have been. Portland Half Marathon 2014 complete! Im proud to say that my goal of 12 half marathons in 12 months has been met, and I couldnt be happier (although I am signed up for a few more before the end of the year ). The best part was finishing the 12th one in Portland, the city where I ran my first full marathon 4 years ago (after back surgery), and where I ran a PR for a full marathon last year. Its a great city, a wonderful race, fantastic volunteers and crowd support, and incredible food to top it all off! Now its time to celebrate with a lovely epsom salt bath :)
