I posted this on my wall: Today is the five year anniversary of the death of my mentor/elementary school music teacher, Mr. Rick Choura. I truly cant believe it. It will always feel like yesterday that he supported and encouraged my passion and love for music & theatre back in 2nd grade. Mr. Choura is the reason I am following my dreams, no matter what anyone thinks. I will always feel guilty for not keeping in touch as much when I left for college… I really did always think that Id see him again. Hopefully I will someday… Rest in peace, Mr. Choura. I miss you everyday and hope I make you proud..
