I posted this somewhere else but want it front and center because the older I get the more I know its so true: I have been blessed with the worlds best friends. Family has often been problematic but I have friends who are angels and thats the truth. I have been carried over the finish line and hauled out of many of lifes combat zones and dragged out of hell by some of my friends. I am always in awe. I have friends who go back over half a century, male and female, and I have friends who are much newer indeed but all of them are extraordinary. You probably all have friends like this too and I want to suggest that you let them know how much you appreciate them. My dad had many trite but true sayings but the one that was not always so true was blood is thicker than water. In my experience, I have found that some of the tightest most tenacious bonds are the bonds of friendship. I am also thinking about what Groucho Marx said: “When youre in jail, a good friend will be trying to bail you out. A best friend will be in the cell next to you saying, Damn, that was fun.” HAH! You guys know who you are... whether you call me Maureen, Micky, Mo or McDee or Sistah -- thanks to you all. Now really, I do have to get back to work.... REALLY! ;)
