I posted up here the other day about looking into hiring a 3d - TopicsExpress

I posted up here the other day about looking into hiring a 3d artist for the main game me and my team are trying to develop, the post was met with a bunch of its too hard, do other stuff and some you shouldnt even be bothering yourself with this if you arent established comments (minus the 2 or 3 optimistic posts) on it that made me feel a type of way, not a way that makes me wanna quit the project because of the criticism (which by the way is appreciated good or bad) I feel the urge to prove those that feel that way wrong even more now. But that is not why I am here today. In an attempt to raise awareness about my team, our goals, and just pretty much attempt to promote ourselves as best we can without putting our own feet in our mouths. We have in fact decided to do some REALLY SMALL scale projects that will be FREE, OPEN-SOURCE and for lack of better words, to have something with our name on it before we hurt our main project due to no one knowing us. Therefore, the ideas we will be putting attention to (but not all attention as this is not intended to take away from our main project but to merely promote and expand our team and contacts) are as followed: A few interesting series of visual novels (OR WEB COMICS) featuring mechanics not normally found in visual novels. Mini games such as puzzles and hidden object-esque games Interactive apps for feedback and time killing (comment boxes, idea suggestions, create stuff, contests, character dressups ect.) Website being launched soon for desktop and mobile some quick merch to help get the name out better (buttons, stickers, posters, etc.) and many many more. To sum this post up, I always see on indie game sites and pots that the best thing for you to do is to not approach it as a serious company, my question is while you are off not worrying about that how do you plan on making up for lost time when the time comes for you to need one for yourself? We may just be a start up team right now, that will evolve into a firm company and then into a household name. Now, if I never told you that or stated it like it was already a sure thing then how would the people I work with ever take me seriously. We are going to make software that is fun, challengin and rewarding to everyone that touches it. Everything is trial and error until the day it works. Anyone interested in join a half assed team that has barely even picked a name for their title let alone for their team, then please disregard this post. But if you want to be a part of something that will only grow with or without you then please inblox me. Because no matter how successful or knowledgeable a person readin this post may be, they still dont have all the answers, and you are more than likely going to find those with a group of like-minded people rather than someone who wants to do this for fun. Do we do this for fun? Yes but its so seriously that we could possibly have weekly slapbox matches in a driveway due to disagreements that will more than likely be resovled over a cold beer or something haha(
