I pray this doesnt repeat itself next month. They can sign peace pact or post election peaceful conducts. GMB need to visit the North especially the uneducated Almajiris and common men who do not listen to news or understand English and plead with them in House to eschew violence in case he loses. GEJ need to go the creeks in the Niger delta and hold meeting with the leaders of ex- militants on his zero tolerance for violence in strong terms. We need peace in this country. Enough of bloodletting especially of innocent Nigerians. GMB need to speak directly to the conscience of Boko Haram in Arabic condemning there criminal activities and set of a group with a mission to end Boko Haram menace. There is a lot he could do now. He promise to end the insurgency few months to being elected. Whatever magic wand he gas to end it let him start now or offer the suggestions to GEJ or top security chiefs. He need not wait till he becomes president to do something. GEJ need to wake up from slumber, Nigeria is gradually declining into anarchy with this Boko Haram issue. I do know he had invited former heads of states to seek advise on the security situations. But individually and collectively these ex leaders have strong roles to play in ending insurgency as I believe some of them might have ideas of sources of funding for these criminals. Irrespective of who win next month election, there is a need to rally round GEJ in an attempt to end insurgency. This is a serious issue that should not be politicised for election gains. We must say no to violence, no to Islamic radicalism and insurgency, no to extra judicial killings, no to all forms of barbaric and uncivilised acts.
