I propose an idea for next years Brookfest. Send out a poll early on in the year, maybe even during the fall semester. Or put 1 up on facebook, and actually invite stonybrook students to vote on it. That way, more people get satisfied, and we wont have to wait until 2 weeks before the event to see what were gonna be stuck with. I know Taylor Metz told me to go to SAB meetings, but what good is that really going to do? People wont stand up and speak, and then us people who dont like it have no chance. The fact is, the diverse musical interests of stonybrook students are being ignored. People have suggested ideas year after year, but what the hell do we keep getting? The same kind of music every time. It makes me wonder if going to SAB meetings, or even voicing my opinion really makes any kind of a difference. Tl,dr; I am not impressed by this years lineup.
