I pulled into my neighborhood this evening to a snowball attack on - TopicsExpress

I pulled into my neighborhood this evening to a snowball attack on my vehicle. It startled me, so I stopped. I decided to shift into reverse my in hopes of identifying the instigators because I know most of the kids in my neighborhood. I could see two young gentlemen making a run for it and a third that clearly wasnt a specimen of physical fitness who chose to allow me to confront him in lieu of a sprint session. I explained to him how throwing objects at moving vehicles could be dangerous or frighten some of the small children or older homeowners in our neighborhood. He agreed and apologized, and I headed home.... Fast forward 15 minutes..... I was helping Ainsley with her math when I heard banging noises against my house. I realized that the little shits watched me drive home and were now winging snowballs at my house and garage. I bolted from the table and took off across my lawn chasing the boys from their hiding spot. I followed them through a dozen or so yards and across 3 streets. I would have lost them if it wasnt for the snow revealing their path. I rounded a corner around a fence to come face-to-face with them. The look on there face pretty much said, who is this lady and how can she still be following us? Let me point out that I had embarked on this chase in a skirt and boots. A flash in their eye said they were going try running again; I held their glare and said, I ran 26 miles in October just for fun, I can definitely chase you around my neighborhood for the rest of the night. They waved the white flag. Now at this point if they had been apologetic and honest, I would have let them go. But no, in true teenage fashion they started in how they accidentally threw snowballs at my car and house. Theres no crime in having a snowball fight. I grab a fist full of each ones jacket and told them to point me in the direction of home. It turns out thats 3 neighborhoods over. One boys mouthed me the ENTIRE way. He told me that I had better be ready for his parents, he told me how he hoped that I was cold walking this far, he told me that I was an embarrassment (at this point I reminded him that he was out run by a 37 year old lady), he told me how stupid I was, and how I should never be a teacher, etc. I chuckled at most of his comments and gave my generic ok response that save for people who are trying to upset me. At one point he turned to me and said, you are crazy lady. I laughed and agreed with him. The other young man was the complete opposite; he was very apologetic and promised repeatedly that it would never happen again. When we arrived at Billy Bad Asss house, I made him ring the door bell. His mother opened the door and before she could get a word out, Billy was crying his eyes out pleading with her. #parentingwin on her part. :) he may not have respected me, but boy he respected his mamma. She assured me that it would never happen again. Same for boy #2; great parents just trying to keep track of teenage boys. Anyway: I just wanted to share that this 37 woman in a skirt and boots took down two teenage boys in a foot chase through snow.
