I purchased a trio of Jubilees today. Pullets were originally from GFF and the roo was a Sacre. The hens seem fine but the roo is completely emaciated and was covered in mites. He is so bad that I dont even know how he is alive. There is literally no meat on this bird. The breast bone is completely exposed. I believe the owner was feeding them but the mites have drained the roo nearly to death. I covered him in Sevin dust which I dont normally do but I felt something drastic needed to happen. I fed him and gave him vita pro B in his water. He ate and drank quite a bit. I will deworm them tomorrow. What can I feed this bird to get some weight on him? Someone once recommended canned cat food for protein. Thoughts?
