I ran across this while research another matter. It underscores a point Ive made before -- namely, that Muslim hostility towards Jews living in Palestine long predated the creation of modern Israel in 1948. A Einsatzgrupper (Nazi mobile killing squad) was stationed at Athens in 1942 with instructions to invade Palestine and link up with Rommels Afrika Korps when it broke through Egypt and entered the Mideast. This combined force would work with Palestinian collaborators to murder all Jews living in the British mandate of Palestine. This is hardly surprising in light of the fact that the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem had allied himself with Hitler and raised an army of Bosnian Muslims to fight for the Third Reich. While visiting Hitler in Nazi Germany, the Mufti warmly congratulated him for his efforts to exterminate Jews. Fortunately, Rommel was defeated, so the invasion of Palestine never occurred. Now tell me again how the creation of modern Israel in 1948 is solely responsible for Arab hostility toward Jews.....
