I rarely do this, but not every status can be fluffy bunnies. The new age Christian thing to do has been to take accepting and loving past its original intent and to morph it into Yes, its okay. Everything is okay. We were called to accept and love others as we would ourselves. That does not mean accepting and condoning others decisions/lifestyles no matter what they are. As a believer, if every decision you make and every opinion you have is politically correct, you are mis-aligning your faith against what the Bible says. Because we were called to be set apart. And that means siding with the underdog. It is extremely hard to know the time and place to gently redirect those who are doing wrong and living wrong, but if we as Christians become so scared to be unpopular and say anything that would cause controversy or offend that we stop looking in our Bible---the very book that clearly tell us that something is downright WRONG, how can we or anyone achieve spiritual growth? Christianity is not a faith that molds to the worlds preference as the times change. Christianity is an eternal choice to throw out the old clay and reshape your beliefs, choices, and convictions around what God has called them to be. Christianity HURTS sometimes. It hurts to die to yourself and let God massage out of your heart the beliefs the world wants you to have and replace it with unpopular values. But the reward is greater than anything this world could ever offer. I will leave it at that.
