I rarely ever post my personal business on Facebook or share it with anyone. Its my business. However, Im going to let this out. My frustration level is growing out of control to say the least. As most people know, my boys live with their father most of the time (per their wish). I was totally destroyed. Would like to say I am used to this schedule but that would be a lie. I love and miss my sons beyond belief. With this being said, I pay a hefty chunk EVERY month out of my pay check for child support. Im fine with that. It is my duty as a parent. Now, I have been working my butt off to get Jake enrolled in college. We (he and I) have made several trips to Springfield). Financial aid office, advising, registration, on and on. Weve been apartment hunting (found one & provided most everything in it to him), picking up job apps, and studying numerous hours with him for his CDL exam. Doesnt sound like much but let me tell ya....whew!!! My frustration is this. His father has yet to come to Springfield, meet an advisor, meet the Dean of his department, sit for hours in financial aid offices, meet his landlord or see his apartment or pay for the first thing. Believe me, Ive asked! I pay child support for goodness sakes!!! Im more than willing to go above and beyond, for my son. But my total responsibility? Seriously? Thank you for anyone who listened. My heart is heavy. :(
