I rarely get political or make statements based on the news but I am absolutely horrified and shaken to hear about a deadly terrorist attack at the Westgate mall in Kenya, a place that my family and I went to for every meal while we stayed in Nairobi, a 2 min walk from our hotel. A place always full of armed guards and security entrance checks where I felt extremely safe spending hours is now top news with 39 dead and hostages. It literally makes me sick to my stomach to find out that it was a possible attack from Somalian terrorists, which makes me more convinced that the boarder country is completely out of control. It makes me second guess pursuing any humanitarian efforts I had wanted to contribute to the country in fear for attacks on foreigner friendly establishments like this. Why is the world such a violent place? I pray for those who were killed and their families. #kenya
