I read an article today that said that The Guardians of the Galaxy is a second-rate movie that Marvel is only making to cash in on the super-hero movie craze, but theyve sold all the rights to any characters anyone actually cares about. So they made a so-so movie with a cast of unknowns and a by-the-numbers plot. And are advertising the hell out of it and hoping no one notices how lame it is. I didnt read any further than that because I knew I was gonna be seeing it tonight and I was afraid there might be spoilers. WELL... good lord, what a joyless person that reviewer must be. This was the BEST movie Ive seen in a long time. I laughed, I cried (I really did)... I loved it. Im almost afraid to go to movies because I want to love them, but Im almost always disappointed. This one not only did not disappoint me, it surprised me. Im looking forward to the next one.
