I read in the paper this morning that more than one third of all environmental pollution in the U.S. is produced by the great state of Texas. It makes sense that Texas would be prominent in this arena because of its size and ties to the oil business. But 35%???? Ridiculous! A lot of the blame can be laid at the feet of Governor Rick Perry and his cohorts who have been bought and paid for by big oil and gas. They fight against every move made by the EPA and other agencies who are trying to curb our pollution output over time. What the environmental scientific community is doing is not unreasonable, yet Perry and idiots like him fight them at every turn. Unless we unseat people like Perry who cannot see the pee in his own post toasties, and elect reasonable leadership, we will continue on a track leading to the ruin of our world. I do not want my future peeps looking back on this era and saying, Wow, why did our ancestors allow all of that pollution to happen? I want to be remembered as the group of folks who saw the light, responded, and led the world to clean, renewable energy. What say you??? Be well my friends!!!!!
