I read news stories often about dogs, mostly dogs called Pit Bulls. I supposedly have 3 of them in my home, even though they vary in a number of ways (personality, size, color...looks). I dont know if they are, and I frankly dont care anymore what they are. Imagine if everybody didnt care. The infatuation with the breed labeling is the reason we will continue to talk about it. When I refer to them, I dont say my Pit Bulls...I say, my dogs, or I name them by name specifically (ie...Preston, Era, Ferg). Ive been able to go everywhere with them and not have issues with discrimination - people are actually quite fond of them. Maybe its the way I present myself, or maybe its something else. I know my stance and views will not be universally embraced, so I will continue to tell people what I do know about them - they are good dogs. Dogs.
