I read recently about a purported letter of King leopold II speech to Christian missionaries who were going to Congo in 1883. The said letter was reported to show how evil the intention of xtian missionaries in Africa. I have had the luxury of reading the letter over and over again and how the letter was obtained which was purported to be by a Congolese born in 1915, found the letter in a second hand Bible he bought from a European priest. My conclusion, the letter is a complete fake /hoax. However, this however does not deny the evil committed by King Leopold in Congo. The king was to Congo, what Adolf Hitler to Jews. The post below from Wikipedia cast serious doubt on the authenticity of the purported king leopold II letter.
