I read so much about how to build your Church and how to double Church income or how to have the best Sunday school . I dont want to appear smug but doesnt anyone get it when Jesus said, I will build my Church? If the Pastor of the largest Church in the world wrote a book about how to build the largest Church in the world and you read it, you would fail. Is it not Christ who will build His Church. Our job as Pastors is to preach the word of God, to nurture the flock, to be in prayer with God and to listen and obey His instructions. All those great theologians who spent 20 hours preparing the perfect sermon in Hebrew and Greek with English subtitles have missed the point. Sure, study hard and be approved just dont put all that time into a sermon where you think you will be the best orator on the face of the earth. Perhaps gaining notoriety greater than Benny Hill or Joel or even Charles Manson! Cmon people. Chillax as they say (whoever they are) Let go and let God. God wants you to work with Him as He builds His Church. Listen to His voice and do what He says. He knows what He is doing.
