I read that some dog treats contain the equivalent of antifreeze, Im not sure of spelling, it starts with ph and is 2 words second word is glycine I think, if anyone knows feel free to post it. While in the store I decided to check labels, it was listed. Please check before you buy. I do not know why these treats are not under stricter manufacturing laws, we are killing our pets with kindness because we are simply not aware of what these products are made of. This needs to stop. The best bet is to make your own treats, here is a recipe we have: Peanut butter and honey dog biscuits 3/4 cup flour. 1/4 c. Veg. Shortening 1 egg. 1 teaspoon baking soda 1tablespoon honey. 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon peanut butter 1/4 cup oats 1/2 teaspoon vanilla Heat honey and peanut butter until runny (20 seconds in microwave. Mix ingred together and drop by 1/2 teaspoon onto cookie sheet. 350 for 8-10 minutes. Maybe if everyone would boycott treats these companies would improve their products, I dont see that happening however
