I read that some young Indian army officers are angry with their commanders for tying their hands in kashmir which prevents them for dealing with militants. I guess what these officers want is going back to good old days when they could murder, lynch, rape, torture Kashmiris at mass scale without even an illusion of accountability. Now, they are forced to do the same at a smaller scale. Maybe they want many more militants so that they can justify their blood lust. In any case, the army is a good illustration of its origin as British Indian army - a colonial force.
