I read the insensitive piece titled: The Sons of Sardauna By Henry Omoregie. His work is a typical example of recklessness aimed at triggering the spread of hatred amongst the northerners in particular and Nigeria in general. For a writer to shamlessly say that d present insurgency is as a result of a longlasting grudge that existed between the Kanuris and the Fulanis and later fueled by the merginalization mated on the Kanuris by the Sardauna of Sokoto is but a concoction of falshood to say the least, said voluntrily to distract efforts meant to bring the menace to a stop and to lay a foundation for further discord if at all the former aim results abortive. Some writers enjoy the admiration of their readers and regarded as a reliable reference not because they wrote well and or are objective, but because their admirers are carried away by sentiments, be it out of ignorance or laxity to read wide. I wonder how possible will it be for a sane person to link the present insurgency to late Gen. Abatcha, and comfortably feel free to say he was the Messiah the Kanuri longed for...you need not read social studies to know that Abatcha is not from Yobe but Borno state. Read the piece and see the concoctions. abusidiqu/sons-sardauna-henry-omoregie/
