I read this article with great interest, especially after just watching Captain Phillips last night. I learned much from it and I agree with both the economic and security benefits are immense! It would seem that Wesley Jones was not only brilliant with the ability to see into the future and a true American. Todays two Representatives supporting this industry today are also putting America first which is unusual for most puke, I mean politicians today! I tried to resist and gave much consideration to ending my comments here but my strong sense of dread for our country today prevented me from doing it. So here goes Senator Jones was a republican as well as the tow reps today supporting the industry today! Not enough for me so I did a bit of research on what was going on in the twenties beside them being roaring times with the focus on trying to identify what the democrats were doing at the time? So heres my strategy, print this out to get a much deeper understanding, with the benefit of hindsight analyze it, then do the same on the republican side! Ill be busy for awhile! What I hope to achieve! At the end of the process I will either have additional reinforcement of how I currently feel, or a new understanding, with my current beliefs being shaken! The little Ive already read and had a bit of time to think about yields this, two major policies supported strongly by democrats, the league of Nations and the formation of the misnomer Federal Reserve Board as it is not a Federal Agency only re-enforce mt beliefs as the League was a failure and streamlined the process leading into WW2 and the Federal Reserve Board made the great depression deeper then it may have been and has done a methodical job of burying us in debt and destroying the dollar. How and who has that power over the United States Government? Their steadfast refusal to issue standard accounting documents for audit says it all! This start does not bode well given what I already know about the party, starting with the days before slavery, to the population of the KKK after 750,000 souls gave their lives to free the black man to LBJ great society and the devastation to the black community since to the stripping of the blacks self esteem since! That being said I fully intend to gather more information with an open mind!!! Why is this important? Why I feel every intelligent American needs to understand our past should not need to be explained!
